MTA Welcomes Launch of the Second Edition of the Malta Michelin Guide

Medical Association calls for Tourism safety precautions

    Added: 6 April 2021   The Medical Association of Malta (MAM) has today issued a statement saying the current practice of “free for all” boarding on commercial flights with random swabbing on arrival is insufficient and presents significant risks as positive individuals not only can board the aircraft without a test, but may spread the virus to other passengers at airports and especially on board the aircraft.   The current practice of “board now – check later” presents very significant risk to public health and tourism once the number of flights increases, the association said.   Prior swab […]

Launch of Malta’s Tourism Recovery Plan

    The Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection Clayton Bartolo has launched Malta’s Tourism Recovery Plan through which a number of action points will be put in place in the coming weeks and months as Malta starts preparing for the gradual opening of the tourism sector from the beginning of June.   The tourism recovery plan for the local industry involves a funding injection of around € 20 million to help recuperate “the sector hit most by the Covid-19 pandemic” and help those struggling in the tourism industry.   Minister Bartolo announced a number of schemes will be launched […]
