Added: 4 December, 2021 After 11 months of public consultation with all sectors involved in hospitality and tourism, the Malta Tourism Authority has launched the Malta Tourism Strategy until 2030. With the theme of Recover.Rethink.Revitalise, this strategy will be divided into 22 more targeted strategies which, through a long-term plan, will achieve 125 goals. These objectives should be reflected in 145 actions for Maltese tourism to recover and be sustainable. Added: 9 November, 2021 The Maritim hotel in Mellieħa has invested € 6.5 million in a project which includes the construction of fifty-nine new rooms in addition to the existing hotel as well as the renovation of the building attached to the same hotel with three other new rooms – all incorporated within the Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa. Excellent Results for Malta International Airport in September 2021 Added: 11 October, 2021 Malta Tourism Authority welcomes the great news that the Malta International Airport welcomed a total of 418,473 passengers in September, which also marked the first time, since 1999, that September outpaced August in terms of passenger traffic, and the strongest month, in terms of passenger volumes, since the COVID-19 pandemic started.
