Q: Could you share your educational background and work experience in the F&B industry?
A: I've been in the industry for 15 years, focusing on sales, marketing and business development of premium commercial brands. I built strong relationships with restaurateurs, expanding our portfolio and creating engaging culinary experiences for guests. Drawn towards the HORECA industry, I entered in 2020 when COVID-19 hit.
Q: Why are you so passionate about F&B?
A: My passion for F&B was fueled by exposure from the FMCG industry, food programs, research, relationships with producers and travels, which allowed me to learn native cuisines and stories behind labels.
Q: Can you describe yourself and work ethic in five words?
A: Transparent, fair, inquisitive, passionate, driven.
Q4: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
A: Hopefully, working with the same brands I love and respect within the F&B industry.
Q: Could you share one of the most rewarding experiences in your profession to date?
A: Perhaps the most rewarding aspect of the F&B sector is building relationships with industry veterans who welcomed me due to my relationships and the rapport I built with them.
Q: What growth do you anticipate for the hospitality industry in the next 20 years?
A: The Maltese hospitality industry is a pillar of the economy and will continue to grow, provided we maintain product and service quality while competing on a level playing field with controls and accountability.
