How ProKitchen supported a Żurrieq butcher in creating
a space that brings two distinct food concepts to life.
From the outside, a professional kitchen might look
like nothing more than an efficient, sterile space
full of equipment and flat surfaces.
But when
you speak to the names behind Malta’s most trusted
food businesses, a different story emerges – one of
collaboration; long-term and informed planning; and
tools that make everyday work not just possible, but
enjoyable and enhanced.
That’s where ProKitchen comes in. More than a supplier,
the brand has become a backstage partner to chefs,
butchers, and hospitality entrepreneurs across the island.
Whether it’s helping to plan an ergonomic workflow or
selecting the right equipment to match a business’s
ambitions, the team’s strength lies in the relationships
they build along the way, working alongside clients to
ensure that every single requirement is translated into an
efficient solution.
Maryline Monreal, a seasoned butcher from Żurrieq, is
one such client. Her experience speaks volumes about
the impact the right partnership can have when it comes
to creating a strong kitchen environment that supports
efficiency, enhances workflow, and empowers those
working in the Horeca industry to deliver consistent, highquality
results.
At just 36, Maryline Monreal already boasts two decades
of experience in the meat industry. Her journey began at
the age of 16, working behind the counter of a butcher
shop.
Fast-forward 20 years, and she is the proud owner
of Maryline Monreal – Premium Meats, a thriving butcher
shop that has served the community in Żurrieq for the
past 13 years.
This year marked a turning point in Maryline’s journey.
With the steadfast support of her partner, Jurgen, she
finally realised a lifelong ambition: to expand her business
by opening a salumeria right behind her existing shop.
"Starting from scratch was not easy, but we made it
happen," Maryline shares. "I wanted the new shop to be
modern, eye-catching, and above all, practical
to work in."
