Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks for 10 days. Malolactic fermentation begins spontaneously. The wine is blended then aged in concrete vats.
SAN LEONARDO
CARMENÈRE
“From an Italian winery of truly unique character comes an expression of a variety which may have been undervalued in Europe and subsequently adopted in Chile. Here’s a chance to see what the old world stands for.”
Coming from the oldest vineyards of Carmenère, this wine is the very quintessence of our growing area, thanks to its innate ability to evolve over the years. Ageing of 24 months 70% in barriques and 30% in French oak barrels at medium-sized first, second and third pass, followed by the final assembly. The wine is finally bottled and stays for at least 24 months in our cellars.
