Established by Jonathan De Domenico, a seasoned
restaurateur with a lifelong passion for food, The
Deck offers a high-quality yet unpretentious dining
experience where every ingredient is carefully sourced and
every dish meticulously crafted.
Jonathan’s journey in the culinary world began in
childhood, where he found joy in cooking for friends
and family. This passion led him to study various
aspects of hospitality and food science, giving him a
deep understanding of flavours, techniques, and the
importance of using only the finest ingredients.
After
years of working across different sectors of the industry,
he opened his first restaurant in 2009. However, his
relentless pursuit of culinary excellence led him to
further his studies in agriculture, soil science, and food
production, ultimately bringing him back to his true calling
- The Deck Restaurant.
Reopened in 2021, The Deck was born from Jonathan’s
vision of a dining space that balances high-quality cuisine
with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Inspired by its
stunning seaside location, the name reflects his love for
the maritime world, while the restaurant itself blends the
charm of the fishing village with a contemporary touch.
“I
wanted to create a space where people feel comfortable,
enjoy great food, and experience the best of what we can
offer, without unnecessary pretension,” he explains
