With decades of leadership experience in both the public and private sectors, Dr Mangion has played a key role in Malta’s economic and tourism industries. A notary by profession, he has previously served as Chairman of Air Malta and Enemalta, as well as holding top political roles, including Minister of Justice and Leader of the Opposition.
On his new role, Dr Mangion shared: “I am honoured to lead the MTA at this crucial time. Tourism is at the heart of Malta’s economy and cultural identity. As we focus on quality experiences and sustainable growth, I look forward to working with stakeholders to strengthen our industry.”
Dr Mangion takes over from Dr Gulia, who led the MTA for 12 years with dedication and passion.
The HORECA team would like to thank Dr Gulia for his invaluable contribution to Malta’s tourism sector, whilst also congratulate Dr Mangion on his appointment.
