Q: How do you balance the demands of your studies
with any work experience or internships?
A: I try to stay organised by planning my time carefully.
I make sure to prioritise my studies, but I also enjoy
learning through internships and hands-on practice. I
believe both academic learning and real-world experience
help me grow and develop as a professional.
Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in hospitality/
tourism/culinary arts?
A: I’ve always loved cooking and seeing people enjoy the
food I’ve prepared. It brings me joy to create something
that makes others happy. That’s why I chose this path –
to turn my passion into a future career.
Q: What was the most surprising thing you learned
while working in a real-world hospitality environment?
A: I was surprised by just how important teamwork and
communication are. Everyone needs to work together and
support one another, especially when things get busy. It
taught me to stay calm and collaborate effectively with
others.
Q: How do you plan to continue developing your skills
after graduation?
A: After I finish school, I want to keep learning by working
in different kitchens, taking part in workshops, and
perhaps even entering competitions. I’m committed to
improving every day and gaining new skills from a variety
of people and experiences.
Q: How do you plan to make a positive impact on the
hospitality industry, either locally or globally?
A: One day, I hope to open my own restaurant – a
welcoming place where people can relax and enjoy good
food. I also want to focus on using local ingredients and
supporting my community. My goal is to bring something
meaningful and beneficial to the industry.
