Q: What does it take to consistently deliver the quality
and turnaround times hotels demand from their laundry
operation?
A: Consistency starts with visibility. We conduct quality
checks throughout the entire process, not just at the end,
allowing us to identify and resolve issues before they
reach the guest. Equipment reliability matters equally,
as consistent machine performance makes quality
repeatable rather than incidental. Underpinning all this is
careful capacity planning. At peak, we process over one
million kilogrammes monthly, roughly 40 tonnes daily,
without compromising standards showing that quality
cannot be optional; it must be integrated into every part of
the operation.
Q: How do you stay sustainable without compromising
hygiene or linen care standards?
A: Sustainability must be real and measurable, never
compromising hygiene. We are the island’s first sustainable
laundry operation, and I’m proud of the strategic decisions
behind that. Swan Laundry upgraded to energy-efficient
boilers and compressors while strengthening maintenance
for consistent performance. We also optimised water
quality to protect linen care and eliminated leaks to cut
waste. This goes beyond “green branding” as it’s a cleaner,
more efficient operation grounded in standards that
safeguard both the environment and guest safety.
Q: How do you keep operations flexible during peak
seasons without sacrificing quality or service?
A: Peak periods reveal the difference between an
operation that reacts and one that’s prepared. We’ve
built our factory to scale without compromising
standards: planning ahead to keep turnaround realistic
as volumes rise, maintaining quality through controlled
processes and consistent checks, and running wellmaintained, upgraded infrastructure that lets us ramp
up safely. During peak, when we exceed a million kilos
a month, we don’t just get through it. We deliver at the
same high level.
Q: Are you prepared for the challenges and
opportunities ahead for commercial laundry services?
A: The challenge lies in balancing demands of fast
turnaround, strict hygiene, sustainability and cost
pressures, while resources are stretched. The opportunity
lies in partnering with a laundry that can invest,
modernize, and deliver measurable results. What gives
me confidence is the trust placed in me to lead our
transformation. Swan Laundry’s board, Chairman, and
CPHCL Group’s CEO backed a factory upgrade to reach
high standards, followed by digitizing and integrating our
systems with customers, fleet, and machinery. That’s how
we become a future-ready performance partner, not just
a laundry provider.
