Q: What has been your most memorable moment so far?
A: I’d say my most memorable moment was definitely my
placement in Prague. Working as a Marketing Coordinator
at Corinthia Prague was an incredible experience; it
pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best possible
way. I had the chance to see how marketing works within
a large international hotel, and it made me realise just
how much I enjoy the creative side of hospitality. Living
abroad also helped me grow personally. It taught me
independence, adaptability, and how to appreciate
different cultures.
Q: Which subject or skill excites you the most right now?
A: At the moment, I’m really drawn to marketing and
branding. I love how it brings together creativity and
strategy to tell a story and create an experience for
people. In hospitality, every small detail can influence how
someone feels about a brand, and that really fascinates
me. I’ve also become more interested in digital marketing
and how social media shapes travel choices. It’s such a
fast-paced field, and there’s always something new to
discover.
Q: How do you see ITS shaping your future career?
A: ITS has honestly played a huge role in my journey. It’s
where I first started back in 2016, and even after taking a
break, returning made me realise that hospitality is where
I truly belong. The hands-on learning, the placements, and the guidance from lecturers have all helped me
develop not just professionally, but personally as well. ITS
has given me the foundation to explore different areas
of the industry, and I feel it’s prepared me for my future
career.
Q: What do you think makes hospitality and
tourism exciting today?
A: What makes hospitality and
tourism so exciting today is how much the industry
continues to evolve. It’s no longer just about hotels or
travel, it’s about creating unique, meaningful experiences.
People are seeking connection, authenticity, and stories,
and that’s what makes this field so creative. There’s also
a lot of innovation happening around sustainability and
technology, which opens up new opportunities for people
like me who are passionate about both the human and
creative sides of hospitality.
A: Where do you see yourself in the industry in
the next few years?
A: In the next few years, I see myself
working in marketing within the hospitality or travel sector,
perhaps with an international company where I can
continue to learn and grow. In the longer term, I’d love to
create something of my own, maybe a marketing agency
and even a small café that reflects my passion for service
and creativity. For me, it’s all about building something
that brings people joy and leaves a lasting impression.
