Q: How do you see ITS shaping your future career?
A: Since my secondary school days, I always dreamed of
joining ITS because I wanted to become a chef. However,
once I started the Certificate in Food Preparation
and Service course, I was introduced to the Food and
Beverage Service side of hospitality and instantly fell in
love with it. That experience changed my path and led
me to pursue an Undergraduate Diploma in Food and
Beverage Management. Thanks to ITS, I also had the
incredible opportunity to complete my internship at the
prestigious Adare Manor Hotel in Ireland, which gave
me invaluable hands-on experience and deepened my
passion for the industry.
Q: What do you think makes hospitality and
tourism exciting today?
A: What makes hospitality and tourism so exciting today
is how fast they evolve while still remaining centred on
people. Every day brings something new – new guests,
new ideas, and new opportunities to create memorable
experiences. It’s an industry where creativity and service
go hand in hand, and that constant energy keeps me
inspired. No two days are ever the same, and that’s what
I love most about it.
Q: Where do you see yourself in the industry
in the next few years?
A: In the next few years, I see myself supervising or
managing a restaurant, either locally or abroad. The food
and beverage industry is constantly growing, and I want
to keep evolving with it. My aim is to continue developing
my leadership skills and to always find new ways to
enhance the guest experience, because there’s always
something new to learn in this field.
Q: What’s one personal strength you bring
to this industry?
A: One of my greatest strengths is my ability to make
guests feel genuinely welcome and at home. I always
strive to create a warm, comfortable atmosphere where
every guest feels valued and cared for. At the end of the
day, it’s the small gestures and personal touches that
make all the difference in hospitality.
Q: If you could describe your ITS journey in
three words, what would they be?
A: Challenging, inspiring, and rewarding.
