A: Anywhere near the sea. The Mediterranean helps me reset, often with a coffee in hand and the horizon in sight.

A: Any kind of pasta. It reminds me of home and the joy of simplicity. I love a creamy carbonara after a shift or a hearty Bolognese with friends.

Q: What’s your favourite thing about your job?
A: Flying is a lifelong passion. The thrill of take-off, the calm above the clouds, the challenge of each flight – I love it all. Now, as an instructor and examiner, I find real satisfaction in mentoring future pilots.

Q: Best piece of career advice you’ve received?
A: “No one was born with wings, and you never stop learning.” After 32 years, that mindset still guides me.

A: I cherish quiet movie nights with my family. Simple moments that reconnect, entertain, and truly matter for me.
